You may also want to consider the warranty of the product. The ProFlo Softner has a Limited Lifetime Warranty which covers all major components such as the salt tank, resin tank, ion-exchange resin, and valve body for a lifetime. All other parts (including electronics) are covered for five years.

Filter Replacement Service
Not sure when your R.O. or Carbon Drinking Water filters were last changed? Believe it or not, it is important to change the filter cartridges regularly, most manufacturers recommend once a year for sediment and carbon filters and every other year for R.O. membranes. We can help; we will establish a replacement time and remind you of that time every year to keep your filter system working properly and safely.
